There is one thing that every single one of my clients wants help with - their calendar. They are exhausted from being overscheduled and toggling between different topics all day long. They are frustrated by expending lots of effort, but not moving the needle in their business or in their career. There is another way and I show you how to do it.
Cheri Gregov, Master Executive Coach
Without even realizing it, our calendars can become overloaded with demands from other people. We may move from one meeting to the next, reacting to others' asks of us, leaving little time for what we aim to accomplish in our work. As a result, we may start our work after a day full of meetings or look to catch up on Saturday mornings.
A reactive calendar often has us toggling between one-on-ones with our team members, large initiative project meetings, meetings with our leader and peers, one-on-ones with partner groups, client meetings, and firmwide information sharing sessions. Each has a very different ask of our skills and attention, requiring swift transitions that can be draining and make us less effective.
By the end of the day, we may feel spent, and not in a good way. Our adrenaline is usually high from rushing around reacting to problems and urgent needs around us. We may feel a bit shell-shocked or traumatized from giving without thought throughout the day. This may leave us too tired to enjoy our evenings or unable to "turn off" from the frantic work day. We may feel disappointed that despite the effort, it may not have made a difference.
I am going to show you how to be selective in choosing which activities receive your time, energy, and talent. Pausing to consider the cost / benefit analysis before committing to any ask ensures that your precious effort is allocated with care. Enjoy higher impact for every ounce of energy expended.
I teach you how to set your priorities and plan our calendar around them, allocating time to the most important things first. Then you honor the schedule, following through on the carefully designed day as planned. When seemingly urgent asks arise, I explain how to thoughtfully weigh whether they are deserving to have you adjust your priorities.
This practice ensures that at the end of each day, you feel it was spent with purpose. You will experience fulfillment from giving your energy to the most important things. Your calendar aligns with your priorities, so you keep your integrity intact and don't feel compromised or conflicted. You will know exactly where your time was spent and you can rest knowing it was worth it.
In my free Masterclass, you will learn how to take control of your day for these exact benefits. Come as you are to join off-camera on Zoom. You can privately chat in your questions and specific challenges during the session. Register to receive the link to join live on September 30th at 6pm Eastern and the recording.
