This book offers hope against a backdrop of high-stress, wide-road, rat race, corporate ladder climbing, hustle and grind, cut-throat, hamster wheel culture that can feel like the only path, the one way street, the only choice. It turns out there is another way… and this book is a guide down that road less traveled which leads you to Love this Life. It’s your Choice.
“Every point you made in that book was spot on with either an emotion I have at one time felt or am currently feeling and then how to fix that thought in my mindset. It resonated so much with me. I want to cry, it was that good.”
“Love your book so much I’m going to read it at least a dozen more times.”
“This book is so insightful. Loving it.”
“Where was this book 10 years ago? Thank you so much for this!”
“Listening to your book on my way to work. Such a calming voice. Love it.”
I wrote a book all about choosing what we do and what we believe to be true, to effectively choose our emotions and even our results in life.
The book’s title is “Choice - How to Love this Life in 5 Steps”.
If you are curious and are ready for an upgrade in your career and life, read this.
We tell ourselves some pretty miserable, pity party, negative stories on a daily basis. Sometimes we don’t even realize these stories that might be on repeat in our minds.
I want you to take whatever challenge you are currently facing and the story you are telling yourself about it and ask yourself - is that really true?
Is this version of the story helping me or hurting me by holding onto it with both hands?
When two people have a disagreement, there is usually at least 3 versions of the story. It just goes to show that there are facts and then there is what we make those facts mean to us. Our own version of the story that shows how we perceive and interpret what is happening around us.
Here is an example that might sound familiar. When asked how you are doing, how do you answer? This is what I hear most often and frankly how I have answered many times:
- Busy, stressed
- Same stuff, different day
- Living the dream (said sarcastically)
It reflects things we might believe to be true, that “it’s a hard knock life”, you pay taxes and then you die, we have to hustle and grind, or we’re regrettably "adulting". There is never enough time or money or sleep or health.
I believed these stories to be true and lived it.
Believing this version of life happening around us leads to two things in my personal experience:
- Living for the weekend, retirement, the next escape.
- Over-consuming for temporary comfort, be that food, drink, shopping or screens.
If we stop and think about it, how would the facts of our situation be perceived by someone else if they were parachuted into our lives, into our shoes?
For example, someone without readily available clean water or internet might perceive that they got a golden ticket and suddenly had this extremely fortunate life.
We can choose to work and live a different way. We can upgrade and recalibrate the version of our “story” that we hold on to.
This is precisely what changed everything for me. This is what inspired me to write this book.
Big emotions arise with the usual curveballs in work and in life.
The shocker is we get to choose far more than we realize.
The choices we make on what to focus on, our perspective, and what we believe to be true drive everything else.
We can choose to Love this Life. It happens through a series of choices. I walk you through it in this book.
